Same Same Noodle Bar is the brainchild of Chef Brian O’Connor, Bar Program/Guest Experience Manager Jael DeLeonardis, and partner Alex Prindle. As roommates working in the San Francisco restaurant scene ten years ago, Chef Brian and Jael shared a dream to open a restaurant that pushed the limits of great food and amazing hospitality. After moving to Seattle, Chef Brian connected with Alex and the two helped open some rapidly succesful establishments. Recognizing the similar tastes and visions of Alex and Jael, Chef Brian brought the trio together to work on a new project. Following a decade’s worth of experience in award winning restaurants and defining what their space would be, their dream is now a reality.Same Same Noodle Bar focuses on noodles, noodles and noodles…some hand-made in-house, and others made by great artisans local and from afar. Inspired by Chef Brian’s travels abroad and research into classic Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean dishes, the menu presents new school versions of these classic cuisines. The Same Same Noodle Bar team prides itself on using quality ingredients from organically grown herbs, lettuces and vegetables to sustainably raised meats and seafood. We like to serve food that tastes good and makes you feel good too!Just like the menu, the bar space brings a feeling of familiarity mixed with an urban touch. Bar Program Manager Jael’s adventurous spirit is reflected in the bar’s selection. In addition to locally brewed beer on tap and imported beer, classic cocktails receive rejuvenated flavor profiles such as the addition of Thai basil, chili and lemongrass to the Gimlet. Fitting the restaurant’s theme of celebrating the old with a modern perspective, the walls are adorned with local street artists’ interpretations of noodle graffiti.
